This notice describes the small amount of browser storage Loom & Ledger uses to run its downloadable pattern shop.
Our approach
We prefer a quiet website and collect only what helps the shop function, remain secure, and become easier to use. Cookies are short text values saved by your browser. They cannot inspect your sewing files, photographs, printer, or other documents on your device.
Necessary cookies
The store uses required cookies to remember items placed in the basket, keep checkout connected to the correct order, maintain security, balance site traffic, and record your cookie preference. They are activated when the related service is used because removing them would interrupt purchasing or account functions.
Optional workshop analytics
When you agree, anonymous or pseudonymous measurements tell us which pattern pages are useful, how visitors move between size and delivery information, and whether a page fails on a particular screen size. We use the results to improve instructions and navigation, not to build advertising profiles based on your craft interests.
Remembered preferences
Optional storage can retain interface choices such as a filter, currency display, or reduced-motion preference. These conveniences are not required to browse. If we add a tutorial video or other external media, its provider may set a cookie after you choose to load that feature.
Payment and fraud prevention
At checkout you may be redirected to an independent payment service. The provider can place necessary cookies for authentication, transaction security, and fraud detection. Those records are managed under the provider's own cookie and privacy notices, and we cannot alter their retention.
Your control
The consent panel allows optional categories to be declined or changed later. Browser settings can delete stored records, block cookies, or notify you when one is requested. If all cookies are blocked, the basket may not persist and the payment confirmation may not return to the matching order.
Retention schedule
Temporary basket and session cookies expire during or shortly after the visit. Consent and display preferences may remain for up to six months. Optional analytics identifiers are configured for no more than thirteen months. Security evidence can be retained where reasonably required to investigate misuse.
